Cars, 1994–2004
'On my bike rides, I kept seeing cars, buses and lorries just parked around the area. I think my first reaction was to look out for the absent owner. But as I usually didn’t see a soul, I was left alone with the situation, and suddenly a relationship developed with these vehicles that I hadn’t expected. The cars in the landscape had an effect on me, like actors on a stage, and from then on I began to collect their humour and their tragedy..' Bernhard Fuchs
